As The War In The English Speaking Part Of Cameroon Persist, Civilians Continue To Perish.


The population of the Below Foncha , A neighborhood in Nkwen,  Bamenda 3 sub division of the North West Region of Cameroon has finally breathe a sigh of relieve following the discarding of the lifeless body of a young man who was  shot by yet to be identified individuals on the night of Thursday. Sources around the Below Foncha neighborhood say, they heard gun shots on the night of Thursday breaking Friday July 12, 2019 only to get up Friday morning to the gruesome discovery of the lifeless body of a boy whose identity is yet to be established. According to a lady, who resides around that area, she heard gun shots late in the night and the result was what they discovered in the morning. “I heard gun shots and thought it was the normal gun shots I am used to. Little did I know someone’s life has been snatched away. This is because it did not appear like there was actually a gun battle. It’s like the boy was brought there, murdered and his body dumped on the tar mark. I only heard neighbors the following morning saying a corps was lying at Below Foncha. When I got there, I saw the body of a young man lying in the pool of his own blood.” “The corps was later carried away by some individuals to an undisclosed location”. She added.The recent killing brings to about three civilians forced to the world beyond as a result of the ongoing war in the Bamenda, chief town of the North West Region of Cameroon as recorded by DRAY INFO. The number could be more. Pa Fru Bennego residing at the Ngulung neighborhood in Mankon was shot and killed by those eye witnesses say were armed men dressed in military wears last Wednesday July 10, 2019. Godlove who was working at a Quarry in mile 8 Mankon owned by a renowned Bamenda based business man was forced to exit the world when he was gunned down on his way from work same day.

Sama Hilda  By Raymond Dingana Sama Hilda, business woman, and a mother of two was kidnapped near her Mile 6 residence on Tuesday, September 24, just one day after a two-week lockdown imposed by non-state armed groups seeking to reclaim what they claim is the lost sovereignty of a country they call Ambazonia. According to investigations conducted by a team of Drayinfos reporters, Sama Hilda maintained communication with her husband and other family members while in captivity. The armed men opened these communication channels, demanding a ransom of over 2 million FCFA. Bamenda Acid Attack Victim Breathes Her Last

  Late Dr Bongka Vivian  By Raymond Dingana Bongka Vivian, after a courageous battle for her life, has taken her last breath. She joined the heavenly choir on Monday, October 28, 2024, in Douala. Bongka Vivian was the Head of the Department (HOD) of Bilingual Letters at the Higher Teachers Training College (HTTC) of the University of Bamenda. She was a victim of an acid attack perpetrated by her husband. Her last journey on planet earth began on Saturday, October 12, 2024, when her husband, Ebai Elias, poured acid on her at the Alahlieh neighborhood in Nkwen, Bamenda III council area before taking his own life by drinking some of it, and died on the spot. Vivian had previously taken a break from her marital home due to her husband's abusive behavior. On that fateful Saturday, she called him to see if he was home, as she wanted to collect some personal belongings.
