University Of Bamenda: VC Urges Newly Appointed Officials To Discharge Duties Without Fear.

The vice chancellor of the University
Of Bamenda has urged newly appointed officials of the University to discharge
their duties without any fear or favor. She was speaking Saturday September 21st,2019
during the installation ceremony of the newly appointed officials of the
University. Professor Theresia Nkwo Akenji while urging them to strive at all
times to do the right thing, respect hierarchy among others, she intimated
that, all of them put together will never be bigger than the University Of
Bamenda
Talking to DrayInfos, Professor Nkwo Akenji says,two of those appointed are going to the central administration which is the heart of the University: “ The central administration is the heart of the administrative heart of the university. What we expect of the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Internal Control, Professor Mathias Mih is full collaboration. I advised him during the installation to take up all the domains of internal control and evaluation. He is not limited to following up on anti- corruption but there is also evaluation, both administratively and academic”.
To the Director of financial affairs, Mr. Yang Baweh Elmer, Professor Theresia Nkwo Akenji says he is one of the directors that report directly to the Vice Chancellor and that financial matters are very important matters: “Financial matters are very important matters. I asked for his full collaboration, to advice properly and to deliver selfless service so that even in the light of the financial constraints that we are facing, we can have got advice to make do with what we have and look for more ways to get what we don't have”.
Five others were appointed to head five faculties and school. The Den of the faculties of Health Sciences, Professor Some Ashuntantang Gloria Enow, Director of the Higher Institute of Commerce and Management, Professor Njimanted Godfrey Forgha, Director of Higher Institute of Transport and Logistics, Professor Fombe Lawrence Fon,The Den of Faculty of Education, Professor Titanji Fon, and Faculty of Law and Political Science, Professor Nzalie Joseph Ebi
According to Professor Theresia Nkwo Akenji,all these schools and faculties have great potential and need very good direction: “I'm asking them to take off from where their predecessors have left, and get all of these establishments to greater heights, rally the lecturers and students. Bambili is experiencing a lot of difficulty, the challenges are enormous, we need these Dens and Directors to be able to provide a conducive environment apart from the security where there is dialogue to get everybody on board, and then we see what we can do together to keep the university of Bamenda functioning amidst all the difficulties that we are experiencing ”.
