MP For Bafut-Tubah Donates Roofing Sheets To Victims Of Arson Attacks.

Victims of Arson attacks caused by the Anglophone Crisis have begun receiving roofing sheets to enable them reconstruct their homes burnt down as a result of the crisis, Thursday April 23, 2020.The distribution exercise took place at the DO's office in Bambui, Tubah Sub Division.
The two thousand roofing sheets worth seven million FCFA and a financial package of fifty thousand FCFA each were handed over to twenty two affected families in Bambui by Hon. Agho Oliver, Member of Parliament for Bafut-Tubah Constituency.
According to Hon. Agho Oliver, time for talking has passed and now is time for action. He said, during campaigns ahead of the Legislative elections when he went out calling on the population to vote for him, he told them that, he was going to roof all the houses that suffered arson attacks if voted to represent them as MP for Bafut-Tubah Constituency.

He added that, he has come to build and that, other villages in his constituency will also benefit when the time comes and that he will work only with those who are willing to build.
The beneficiaries, all victims of the crisis thank the Hon. Member of Parliament for coming to their aid saying, it came at the right time taking in to consideration the fact that, the rainy season is already around the corners.
The roofing sheets and the financial package amounting to eight million, one hundred thousand FCFA are coming at a time when many of those whose homes have been razed as a result of the socio political crisis have either sort refuge in neighbouring communities or are in bushes.

  Late Dr Bongka Vivian  By Raymond Dingana Bongka Vivian, after a courageous battle for her life, has taken her last breath. She joined the heavenly choir on Monday, October 28, 2024, in Douala. Bongka Vivian was the Head of the Department (HOD) of Bilingual Letters at the Higher Teachers Training College (HTTC) of the University of Bamenda. She was a victim of an acid attack perpetrated by her husband.
