[1] ➤ Reports from Bali, in the North West Region are indicating that, armed men dressed in military uniforms have stormed the village, smashing doors and collecting monies from the occupants. They have reportedly forced themselves into shops at the Ntafoang Square looting them. There have been no words from the Fon of Bali, HRH, Fon Doh Ganyonga III whom reports say is out of the village. A child of about two months old was carried from the bed he was sleeping on and dumped on the floor, according to a family source. Both old and young men were given snake beatings with many sustaining wounds and are in health facilities around the Region. The catholic mission too was attacked and the junior sister to a Rev. Man of God hit by a bullet. Talking to DrayInfos from Bali, a one of the victims said, there were no gun exchanges in Bali.
[2]➤The Day of the African child has been commemorated, Tuesday June 16, 2020 with the theme: Access to a Child Friendly Justice System in Africa. Mr. Kisob George Nfor is Human Rights Defender and consultant in Juvenile Justice, he says “Violence against children starts with the culture of naming children with derogatory names, detention of children with Adults in the same cell and the fact that, children spend more than six months in awaiting trial amongst others are all violations against the African child in the NWR of Cameroon”. Mr. Kisob intimated. To Anyangwa Sylvia, child protection and emergency coordinator working with Plan International Cameroon, Bamenda Program Unit, “the current Socio Political Crisis rocking the two English speaking regions of the country and the Corona Virus Pandemic have had a heavy toll on the African child in the NWR of Cameroon. They are also involved in activities that expose them to child labor”. She said.

Pipe Borne water has been flowing on the K-Town Bridge in Nkwen Bamenda after the pipe was damaged. Reports say, the water started flowing on the night of Tuesday breaking Wednesday June 17, 2020. Sources say, this is not the first time that particular pipe is destroyed. DrayInfos also gathered that, when ever the pipe is damaged, it usually takes days before it is repaired. At the time of this report, the water was still flowing. Worthy of note is the fact that, many households in Nkwen have gone without water for weeks now. Those around the bridge are praying that, something be done so that, the bridge is not affected.

[4] ➤Police and Gendarmerie officials in Bamenda have come under fire from the population for promoting the sale of illicit fuel known as Finge. These officials are spotted almost on a daily basis collecting monies from vendors thereby allowing them to go on selling. Talking to DrayInfos, a vendor said, he pays three thousand francs [3000FCFA] or more every blessed day to the forces of law and order. This has made many to ask the question as to whether there is anything bad in the illicit fuel and why vendors cannot just be allow to sell rather than collecting monies from them . Others are also asking how the fuel got in to town.

MbengwiOnline is reporting that, severe disciplinary sanctions have been promised to men in uniform stationed on the Bamenda- Mamfe -Ekok road who have been exploiting the population especially drivers and passengers. These men in Uniform are being accused of extorting huge sums of money from road users. The warning was dished out Tuesday by Gen. Nka Valere of the 5th Joint Military Region who said his office has been flooded with complaints from users of that road. He said any uniform officer caught carrying out such activities will be severely dealt with. Drivers plying the Bamenda Bambili and beyond and the Bamenda Santa road and those circulating around Bamenda have been complaining on how they are extorted on a daily basis, yet nothing has been done to address the situation.
[7]➤ A Bamenda based travel agency has been involved in a fatal road accident on Cameroon’s national road number 4 in the center region of Cameroon Wednesday June 17, 2020. Reports say a bike rider died on the spot after colliding head on with a seventy seater bus on its way to Bamenda from Yaounde.
