Bamenda and Mbengwi are the latest to have been hit by Improvised Explosive Device, Tuesday January 19,2021, a day after the Minister of Territorial Administration said, President Paul Biya has won the war against Separatist fighters.
In the town of Bamenda, a lady who deals in animal feed and her daughter were wounded when a locally made explosive went off around T-junction Tuesday afternoon.
The debris from the exlosive had trappings that, the Cameroon military has linked to separatist's activities in the past.
Both were rushed to the hospital for medical attention. Properties including those that belonged to the wounded lady were destroyed when the device went off.
Not even the pork vendor's business site where the device was planted was spared as it also suffered some damages.
The blast was so heavy that, other business places including beer parlors could not escape the shock causing many to run out in total confusion.
Bottles fell off from the counters while some of the walls of the drinking spots developed cracks, a client in one of the beer parlors who was there when it all happened told drayinfos.
At the scene of the incident, one could see nails and other metal objects including a gas bottle and mobile phone that was used to detonate the device.
In Mbengwi around mile 17, another device went off just same day when a military vehicle on its way to drop soldiers at the Ngyen Mbo checkpoint passed by with the soldiers responding with by gun shots.

The peaceful march took the women to the council before marching to the office of the Divisional Officer for Mbengwi and were told that, those that will not be found guilty will be set free before the end of Tuesday.
