Insecurity: Youths Continue To Perish As Politicians Kick Against Genuine Dialogue
By Raymond Dingana
The Divisional Delegate of Communication for Momo and four soldiers are the latest youths to have been sent to early graves by what many have described as a senseless war raging on in the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon. Madam Rebecca Jeme Liwusi and the four soldiers met their demise when suspected separatist fighters in Njikwa hit the vehicle they were on board with Improvised Explosive Device IEDs returning from Ngie, Tuesday night.
those that were wounded when about three of the vehicles were torched include, the former Divisional Officer for Andek, the chief protocol officer at the Momo SDO's office and an undisclosed number of soldiers.

According to Reports, the convoy was that of the Senior Divisional Officer for Momo on its way back from installing the newly appointed Divisional Officers for Ngie and Njikwa, Harra Amatangana Maxim and Benjamin Belinga respectively.
This latest and painful deaths as indicated by some journalists in Bamenda are coming at a time when calls for a genuine dialogue in order to put a stop to killings like these is yet to be heeded to.
The city mayor of the Bamenda City council,Paul Achombang in one of his outings to break the back of ghost town operations and bring back security reacted angrily when he was asked why he and others said to have the mandate of the people were not pressing hard for another dialogue to take place and this was his reply. "dialogue with who;so someone kills your son and you want me to dialogue with him,are you normal?".
The bloodletting according to many can only stop if dialogue is given a chance. To them, other measures have been taken to arrest the situation, yet, lives continue to perish under situations that could have been prevented.
Society watchers are of the opinion that, the death of Rebecca may just go a long way to shame those that have in one way or the order blocked chances for a genuine dialogue to take place and also to make them see reasons why talking is better than fighting and killing one another.
