Resolving Anglophone Crisis: What Mayor Of Misaje Believes In

The mayor of the Misaje Council,Mayor Sammy Mgbata Nforkemba has said,he and the people of Misaje believe in  an end to the Anglophone Crisis that will come after dialogue.

He was speaking to the media during a press conference in Bamenda, Thursday January 28th.

He said,consolidating what they have already achieved is what they belief in and that, solutions to the Anglophone crisis can only come after dialogue.

"While knowing that they difficulties to be solved, we belief in dialogue to solve problems,we don't belief in destroying what have been achieved ,we belief in consolidating what we have achieved and waiting for solutions to the Anglophone problem which can only come after a dialogue and never by the barrel of the gun." he indicated.

On the the projects the council was able to realized in 2020,Mayor Sammy said"I have a giant market of more than ninety sheds.To alleviate poverty,we though it wise that,our mothers should sit and sell comfortable inside market sheds. We have portable water,Schools,Health centers,in fact let me just say that,because of our  relative calmness, Misaje is nothing but a complete chantier.

On what accounted for his success story in 2020, he said the people were brought in to work in synergy as far as causing peace to reign in Mesaje is concerned.

He added that, vigilante groups were created and funded to make sure no infiltrators  come in and cause havoc. 

He furthered that,villagers were called upon to report any new face that enters Misaje.

He also indicated that,his next move was to see the contractors and discuss with them on how to manage the contracts.

He also pointed out that,he made it known to all the contractors that, Misaje was a safe heaven and that,all the credit cards at the disposal of the council are the wealth put in place by the state for their development.

He warned all those coming in to cause the credit cards to go back saying they are enemies who want to defraud them. 

He also indicated that,warnings were given for late execution of contracts, those with poor work done. He said there is no sympathy when it comes to purnishing those that are not doing their work.

Quizzed on what  strategies that have been put in place to in to it that, 2021 projects are realized taking in to account the level of insecurity that reins in Donga Mantung Divion, the mayor said, Misaje is a safe heaven. 

He further said, the military and the police are there watching the entrances and exits of Misaje.

He went further that,he will be paying sporadic visits to the field to see what is happening and remind contractors on their deadlines and  on what to do so they don't have  problems with the council.

It should be noted that,the Misaje council came out best in terms of execution of public investment projects.
