DDRC: NW Administration Mourns Fallen Ex-Fighters

A high powered delegation led by North West Governor Lele Lafrique Tchoffo Deben has condoled with ex - separatist fighters at the Disarmament, Demobilization, Reintergragion Center in Bamenda Saturday October 2,2021.
The delegation did not go empty handed as bags of rice, buckets, an envelope of four hundred thousand francs among others accompanied them.
This comes days after two of the inmates,Tabeh Ekwebu and Wameley Sanda Justice all from Ako Sub Division, Donga Mantung Devision of the North West Region of Cameroon were gunned down at the Ntambang Intergreted Health on September 26,2021.
Talking to the ex fighters, Gov. Lele Lafrique said, they are all mourning,
"We came here today to tell you that we are all mourning the death of those two ex fighters who died under conditions that are still under investigations."The Governor explained that, the two fighters went to the hospital and no one knows what happened inbetween.
The chief of the DDRC Kum Henry said, they were yet to come to terms with the death of the two boys and that, the incident has brought immense sadness to the DDR family and that, they are still to come to terms with the loss.
The Mayor of Bamenda II, Peter Chenwi promised to take care of the nine ex combatants who will be sitting in for the 2022 session of the Government Certificate Examinations, GCE.
A Similar sum was also made available for their up keep. He also announced that, five of the former fighters will be absorbed by the council.
One of the ex-combatants who spoke on behalf of his mates thanked the delegation for coming and added that,
"We need to know what the future holds for us, when we are leaving the center and where we are going to."They also expressed the wish to see see those behind the killing of their friends to be brought to book.
