A video that has been making rounds on the social media show a lady said to be the wife crying and saying:
I was in the kitchen with my aunts who came to assist me prepare for a death celebration. Some undentified gun men dashed in to the house and asked us to walk out.He had just returned from a death celebration and was resting. I heard noise and when I rushed in, they threatened to gun me down. One of them later came and said they have killed him and he was behind the house. I rushed there only to find my husband in the pole of his own blood. They took us and said they were going to kill us all but finally let us go. When I came back my husband was already dead.
Talking to drayinfos.com, a class mate said they were shocked to get the news that their course mate had died in the hands of gun men.

Nkwetacha Slantis Leku is not the first student of UBa to have died as a result of the war tearing the Northwest and Southwest regions of Cameroon in to pieces.
