At 37th Edition Of Women's Day, NW Governor Appeals To Diaspora

Northwest Governor, Adolph Lele Lafrique has made a clarion call to Cameroonians living abroad to stop intoxicating the masses.

Lele Lafrique was speaking Tuesday March 8 2022 after chairing activities to mark the 37th edition of the International Women's Day.
I have appealing to those in the Diaspora to stop intoxicating the masses and be agents of peace where ever they are in order to give peace a chance,Lele said.
The governor also used the day to appeal to those who are still carrying guns in the bushes to come out and contribute to the development of the nation.

Governor Lele added that the Head of State, President Paul Biya is committed in accompanying the women in ensuring that long lasting peace returns to the Northwest West region.

The 37th edition of the International Women's Day was celebrated with the theme: Equality Between Women and Men Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow.

Sama Hilda  By Raymond Dingana Sama Hilda, business woman, and a mother of two was kidnapped near her Mile 6 residence on Tuesday, September 24, just one day after a two-week lockdown imposed by non-state armed groups seeking to reclaim what they claim is the lost sovereignty of a country they call Ambazonia. According to investigations conducted by a team of Drayinfos reporters, Sama Hilda maintained communication with her husband and other family members while in captivity. The armed men opened these communication channels, demanding a ransom of over 2 million FCFA. Sources revealed that raising such an amount was a daunting task, given the hardships faced by the population in this crisis battered region.   Late Dr Bongka Vivian  By Raymond Dingana Bongka Vivian, after a courageous battle for her life, has taken her last breath. She joined the heavenly choir on Monday, October 28, 2024, in Douala. Bongka Vivian was the Head of the Department (HOD) of Bilingual Letters at the Higher Teachers Training College (HTTC) of the University of Bamenda. She was a victim of an acid attack perpetrated by her husband. Her last journey on planet earth began on Saturday, October 12, 2024, when her husband, Ebai Elias, poured acid on her at the Alahlieh neighborhood in Nkwen, Bamenda III council area before taking his own life by drinking some of it, and died on the spot. Vivian had previously taken a break from her marital home due to her husband's abusive behavior. On that fateful Saturday, she called him to see if he was home, as she wanted to collect some personal belongings.
