Anglophone Crisis: Blood Flows Again In Bali
By Raymond Dingana
The blood of civilians has continued to flow in Bali Nyonga, a village located some 13Km from the town of Bamenda, an epicenter of the ongoing war in the Northwest and Southwest regions of Cameroon.
Three men, the proprietor of Bafoussam Bar at Njenka in Bali, a Carpenter who was roofing a house and a Mechanic were shot and killed by armed men in military attires.
They had left for their various job sites Thursday morning with all the assurance that they were coming back to their families by the end of the day but it never happened.
Their families would have to learn to live without their bread winners since they are never coming back again. Children have been rendered fatherless, women widows and Parents childless
We are told bullets discharged from the guns carried by men in uniform were flying in disorder as they returned from Batibo, a village after Bali Nyonga in what many say was a rough journey.
The aimless shooting was a way to escape the danger zones after they had suffered a series of attacks along that stretch of road. The three were targated because the soldiers had already arrived the security post at Njenka before firing at the civilians out of anger, Ba Doh tells us.The recent killings in Bali only add to the number of lives that has been wasted in less than a week as the warring parties seem to have embraced bloodshed and relegated dialogue believed by many to be the best way out of the crisis.
