Anglophone Crisis: More Lives Lost As Solutions Delay

By Raymond Dingana

A day would not pass by in the restive Northwest and Southwest regions of Cameroon without a family or families mourning the passing away of a loved one(s).

It is either Separatist fighters have killed or that government forces have sent people to the world beyond.

This has explained the reason why human blood has not ceased to flow in the streets of the two troubled regions of Cameroon.

Tuesday April 12,2022 has gone down the history books of Cameroon as a day many more families wept for their dear ones because of the war.

The Place Where The Cameroonians Were Killed

Four Cameroonians working for the Penitentiary in the Northwest region including the Regional Delelate of Penitentiary by name Kigha Theodore were killed by those sources say were suspected Separatist fighters operating in Bui Division around Kumbo.

Reports say they were on their way back to Bamenda from Nkambe where they had just finished carrying out state duties when they were rounded up and their lives wasted.

A video that has gone viral shows the gun men in civilian attiers turning around the bodies with no remorse and this is how life has been reduced in the two ravaged regions of the country.

As the belligerents continue to ignore calls for a genuine dialogue for a long lasting solution to be arrived at, the number of body bags and caskets sent to families have been on a steady increase.

As to why war has been chosen over dialogue which has rather cost the country more than if dialogue was priotized, only the politicians can tell.
