Elite Two: Bafut Rangers Celebrate While Foncha Street FC Bows To Dynamo FC
By Dingana Raymond
Rangers FC of Bafut has continued to give fans reasons why counting on them as one of those flying the colors of the Northwest region of Cameroon was never a mistake.
After day-two of play in the ongoing elite one championship, the team has not disappointed her fans after playing two games.
Before beating Ngoaundere FC at their backyard by two goals to one, Thursday April 7,2022, the team had earlier traveled to Bafang where they shocked Unisport of Bafang by refusing them victory at home thereby forcing the home side to share the spoils with them.
The match that ended 0-0 on either side placed the team on the forth position and plus one goal.
According to coach Anumewa Frankline it was a good game,
Grabbing an away point against a team like Unisport of Bafang, an experience side is a good thing for us. We will keep working so that we can win all three points in Ngoaundere. He kept his promise beating Ngoaundere FC in their backyard 2 goals to 1 sending fans to total ecstasy as they celebrated all three points. The two goals came from Tabufor Ernest and Ndiforchu Blaise Fuh.
According to coach Anumewa, they had prepared the players for the victory:
Mentally the players were OK, we had prepared them for that. They are aware of what is ahead of them. Despite covering long distances , we were bent on picking all three points in Ngoaundere so as to be above average after pulling a draw in Bafang, he said.
For Foncha Street FC, it was not all rosy on day one of their journey in the elite two championship.
At a time when fans of the team were hoping to see their darling Fancha Street FC follow the footsteps of their seniors in the elite one and brothers in the elite two and even do better, that didn't happen.
At the end of 90mins, Foncha Street was forced to bow to Dynamo FC 0-1 there by putting them on spot number 6 on the unofficial classification table in Pole A after one match.
This didn't go down well with fans of the team though they have been able to console themselves by saying,
It is still their first match, they will do better as the days go by, we are still behind Foncha Street FC.
The boys of Coach Soh Simplice are now working to turn the tables to their favor when they meet their next opponent in the days ahead.
While Rangers prepare to clash with Aigle Royal come Sunday 10 of April, the wish from fans is that they should continue in that spirit and even try to score more goals and bring more glory to the team.
For Foncha Street FC, supporters would be expecting to see them get in to a winning spree and stamp their names in the books of winners and not losers when they face AS Laussane in Yaounde this Sunday, April 10.
