Orphans at the Grace Tait Shelter in Nkwen,Bamenda III Sub Division, Northwest region of Cameroon have send a thank you message to Vernyuy Tina, one of Cameroon's finest in the musical landscape for thinking about them on her 26th birthday.
This was during a visit paid to the orphanage by fans and friends of Vernyuy Tina, creator of "Afro Njang" on Easter Sunday.
Speaking on behalf of the Orphans, Pastor Numfor Julius, one of the coordinators of the center, the kids were so happy because someone somewhere is thinking about them at a time they thought they have been abandoned,
We want to thank Vernyuy Tina for this visit, it means a lot to the children,at least the children now know that they are loved, they are not abandoned especially when they see people come visit them,it gives them hope. You can see joy and happiness written all over them. May God bless you Tina for thinking about the Orphans,
Pastor Numfor said and added that the population should always visit the Orphans so that they can always fell they have a family out there.
He thank the Tinasion family for coming to spend time with the Orphans.
Given that her birthday fell on the same day Christians celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ which was Easter Sunday, Tina decided to celebrate her birthday with the Orphans in order to assure them that Christ's resurrection means a new life for them.
According to the music star, there was no better way of celebrating the most important day of her life other than doing it with the less privileged, orphans and Internally displaced persons in some major towns and cities in Cameroon.
While at the orphanage, the Tination family celebrated by singing and dancing to some of her hit songs like Musica, Yuti, Jei, Silver amongst others.
Seeing the Talents in these kids, the Team leader of the Tination family in Bamenda,Arnaud Kouamo promised to help develope thetalents in them.
We've seen alot of potentials in these kids, we will come back and see how we can help them. We have great people here and we just need to help their potentials grow. This is just our first visit, it was meant just for us to create contact, we are now a family" Kowamo indicated.
After Bamenda, the Tination family in Douala, Buea, limbe, Bafoussam, Yaounde and other towns in Cameroon are expected to continue with her humanitarian action that is celebrating her birthday month with the less privileged in the society.
Worthy of not is the fact that the Grace Tait Shelter has been existing for 16 years now.
It was first located in Bosa village, Bali Sub Division, Northwest region of Cameroon.
Due to the ongoing war, the orphanage was forced to relocate to Nkwen Bamenda.
