The population of Mbengwi, headquarters of Momo Division, North West Region of Cameroon have been celebrating what they say is a move that has gone a long way to safe a life. This was after they rescued a new born baby girl from the bush where she was dumped after birth, Friday September 2,2022.
If a life was spared yesterday, it is thanks to the soldiers. We always see them as people whose only job is to carry a gun. Now we have seen the other side of them which is worth celebrating. I thank them for this and if they continue this way, they will end up winning the hearts and minds on the population, said Fonjung Paul, a native of Mbengwi.
In the evening hours of Friday September 2,2022, forces loyal to the Cameroon government rescued a new born baby they found in a bush around the Mbengwi Monastery in a plastic bag wrapped in a cloth.
