Nkumu Fed Fed, a non-governmental organization to help the needy has extended a hand of fellowship to more than 450 school children in Bali Nyonga, North West Region of Cameroon.
During a back-to-school sensitization campaign in Bali Nyonga, Friday, October 14, 2022, more than 450 children benefited from school kits to permit them to study like their peers in other parts of the country.
Before the didactics were distributed to the learners, their fees had already been paid directly to their respective schools by Nkumu Fed Fed.
The information about the payment of fees and the didactics that were distributed were received with gladness by the beneficiaries as many burst into tears.
Many never expected such a magnanimous outing to them by the organization. Parents and learners said though they had wanted to see their children warm their seats in their classrooms, they hadn't the resources and this gave them sleepless nights.
I am happy for the gifts Nkumu Fed Fed has blessed us with and we are so proud of them for helping to lessen the burden on our parents. May God replenish the source so that more can come, said Amadou Yana, a beneficiary.
Boghema Abigail, another beneficiary thanked the donors while praying for God's blessings to fall on them for thinking about the needy.
The goods Nkumu Fed Fed has given us are going to reduce the money my parents were to use to buy some books that I don't have. I am also grateful for the school fees they paid. May God continue to bless them so that they can also bless us,she said.
Parents who accompanied their kids also celebrated the packages they received.
The load on us has been reduced thanks to Nkumu Fed Fed. Many have been going to school without books and some of us have not been able to pay school fees. With this donation, the situation will be different as we can proudly see our children returning to school to secure their future, said Charles Fombutu.
As pointed out by the National President, children from over ten communities have been supported with school needs.
“Parents should send their kids to school and prepare a brighter future for them. No community can develop without education. We are ready to support them. Bali should not be a land of illiterates but literates whose impact should be felt by the entire world,” she said.
With the level of excitement that was the order of the day during and after the education sensitization campaign and the educational support to underprivileged children, hopes are high that learners would be fighting for spaces in the various schools in the days ahead.
