NW: Public Independent Conciliator Aids Ndop Council Resolve 20-year-old Dispute

The Public Independent Conciliator (PIC) for the North West Region on Friday 28 October 2022 singled out and appreciated Mayor Ntoh Daniel Balengka of Ndop Council for his "level headedness" that let to a 20-year-old problem to be reconciled cordially.
This was on day two and final day of a two-day seminar with mayors on Rights, Duties and Ethical Compliance In Council Functioning on Friday organized by the Office of the Public Independent Conciliator (OPIC) for the North West Region.
The Public Independent Conciliator (PIC) for the region, Simon Tamfu Fai saluted Mayor Ntoh of Ndop for answering to the invitation sent to him to report at the Office of PIC concerning a 20-year-old issue that has threatened to tear the council apart.
What Really Was The 20-year-old Problem In Ndop?
As explained by Mayor, the two decades old problem has to do with an old man who worked with the Ndop Council.
"After his retirement, the council was still owing his arrears and pension. He died without the council paying his money. Thanks to OPIC, the council did all for the man's money to be paid to his family. At the end of the day, the PIC was very pleased," Mayor Ntoh explained.
Tamfu Simon used the case of Ndop which he said was as a result of a collaboration with the Ndop Council to invite others to always answer present when they are needed at the PIC.
"You have the the right to your own site of the story, so do not hesitate to respond to our invitations when accusations are levied against you," Tamfu adviced mayors.
