NWRA: Hon.Fru Angwafo III Presents 2022 Success Story Of Institution

The president of the North West Regional Assembly(NWRA) Hon.Fru Angwafo III has presented the successes of the institution for the year 2022.
This was on day one of the 9th Session of the Assembly that started last Tuesday December 12,2022 in Bamenda and ended on Thurday 15 December with the theme: Citizen Participation in a bottom approach sourcing activities from the community.
As explained by the Honarable president of the NWRA, the year ending was successful in the award and execution of contracts.
Our budget execution rate stood at 78.54% for investment and 80.01% for functioning, giving a global percentage of 79.14%, he pointed out.
Some of the completed projects as indicated by the Hon.President are; Feasibility studies for the Creation, Construction and Equipping of two Emergency centers for the North West region, Feasibility studies for the creation, construction and equipping of a Handicap Center in the city of Bamenda and Mortuaries in the District Hospitals of Nwa and Oku, Construction of the Queens residential quater in Nwa and water supply to the Palace, Rehabilitation of Ako District Hospital and Government High School Sabongari amongst others.
For
those that are ongoing; Feasibility Studies for the Creation of one Regional
Vocational Training Center and Rehabilitation of the Training Centers
vandalized during the crises in all the seven divisions, Construction of
a VIP toilet block in Belo, Rehabilitation of Ako District Hospital, Rehabilitation of
CCAST Bambili, Rehabilitation of Batibo District
Hospital,Rehabilitation of Regional roads
and hydraulic structures in North-West Region. The contractual process for
Construction of the Regional Assembly Building (Phase 1) is ongoing.
Assistance to the victims of the Widikum floods and landslide will be given out on December 23rd during the regional end of year feast organized by your Assembly and UNDP partner, the President added.

He underscored the need for peace to reign given that onlike those who think it is development that is a pathway to peace, many are of the opinion that it is peace that is a pathway to development and not the other way round.
