ICT University Graduates Over 500 Prospective Job Creators At Historic Ceremony

Famous advanced institution of learning, the ICT University has graduated
over 500 professionals in different fields with a potential for job creation to
stimulate nationwide growth.
This was during a flamboyant graduation ceremony that took place
Saturday July 29, 2023 in the nation’s political capital Yaounde.
Government ministers present included Elung Paul Che, Deputy
Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic; Minette Libom Li Likeng of
Post and Telecommunications: ISSA Tchiroma Bakary of Employment and Vocational
Training: Pauline Irene Nguene of Social Affairs and Gregoire Owona of Labour
and Social Security.
Well-fortified with the know how to be job creators, the new
professionals were encouraged to put into practice what they have learned in
school. They were tasked to address the unemployment situation in Cameroon.
For the founder of ICT University, Prof Victor Mbarika, sending out professionals with bachelors, masters degrees and PhD certificates marks a new phase in the life of the prestigious institution.

Prof Mbarika was
moreover, specific on the case of persons with disabilities who were trained at
the school.
He said,
" it is also very exciting to see other students from out of the country come and study in my beautiful Cameroon. It is amazing and a great accomplishment for us”.
said Prof. Mbarika.
ICT University & Job Creation
Mission
The American-styled ICT University is designed to train students on job creation like other world class institutions across the
globe.
Speaking to the press, the vice Chancellor of the ICT University,
Prof Jean Emmanuel Pondi, emphasized on the mission and vision of the
institution as being to train job creators and not job
“The concept of the ICT University is to raise authors of employment. That is the difference we have in philosophy as compared to other schools. We are training students who provide solutions to problems daily with the knowledge they acquire in the school. They put the theory into practice especially with artificial intelligence,”
he stated.
The Vice Chancellor encouraged the graduates to go out and face the world.
“To you students therefore, be confident in what you have learned and move Cameroon in particular and Africa in general to greater heights”.
PM’S Envoy Tasks
Graduates To Serve Cameroon
Amongst the numerous guests that honored the invitation was the Special Adviser to the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Prof Cosmos Cheka who exalted the graduates to put the knowledge gained in institution at the service of the nation.
“The ICT University is one of the prides of Cameroon. You have the opportunity to learn the new trend the world is taking now which is digitalization. So it is an opportunity for you to use what you have acquired here to make Cameroon a greater nation,”
Prof Cheka stated.
The PM’s representative also pointed out some of the challenges
the country is going through including hate speech that remains a major
hindrance to development.
"With the current phenomenon of hate speech you need to use ICT tools to combat hate speech so that our nation Cameroon will develop in peace, love and above all unity.”

Inspires Graduates
Another special guests who answered present at the colorful occasion was former news caster at CRTV, Eric Chinje. He stimulated the professionals to tap from his rich experience and transform the nation Cameroon.
“ You have to think of what you can do to make Cameroon great. I have seen it happen in other countries and I wish it to happen in my country. Students of the ICT University have that potential”.
‘We Are Set To Face
All Fears’
Having been equipped with the knowledge, the fresh graduates
assured the administration of the ICT University that they will face all uncertainties
and remain worthy ambassadors of the prestigious institution.
One of them, a fresh software engineer graduate, Mha Alain stated
that, he is in the process of setting up an enterprise to create jobs.
“I have graduated from the ICT University but that’s not all. I think I am well equipped to face the job market. I will create an enterprise to employ myself and employ others,”
Mbah stated.
Another graduate, Staphanie Laure, expressed gratitude to ICT
University for the professional training given young Cameroonians.
“I am so grateful to the school for what they have done for us. I am going out equipped to go through the odds. I am happy that at last, I am done and I have a dream to create employment for other Cameroonians.”
Persons of school going age have been advised to embrace the kind of educational careers that would earned them the status of Job Creators and not job hunters like the case has always been and that ICT University is well furnished to make their dreams come true.
