Tough Times For SDF As Former Organizing Secretary Dumps Party For CPDM
By Raymond Dingana
The former Organizing Secretary of the Social Democratic Front, SDF for the North West Region has dumped the main SDF opposition political party for the ruling Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement, CPDM.
The latest development in the political life of the North West Region has made many to raise the fear that the SDF is already walking on stormy seas in the region.
Suhsi Peter Ambe divorced the SDF party in favor of the CPDM, Monday November 6,2023 during activities to celebrate 41 years since President Paul Biya took over the highest office of the country Cameroon.
The former SDF militant who said he served the party as a municipal councillor for seven years told drayinfos.com that moving over to the CPDM is all about joining forces with the ruling party to develop his municipality.

"I have decided to support the mayor of Bafut and the member of Parliament for Bafut-Tubah constituency to develop my area. Politics is to develop and not to destroy ,and it's my legal right to militate anywhere I like and I will do that with the CPDM till dead,"
said Shusi.
According to Mayor Ngwakongo Lawrence of the Bafut Council, Shusi's decision to join the CPDM Mezam IV Section in Bafut indicates that Bafut is solidly behind Paul Biya.

While congratulating Shusi Peter Ambe for making what he described as a wise decision, Hon. Aghor Oliver of Bafut-Tubah constituency said it's good news for the party in Bafut.

"For those of us who know what he is capable of doing, there is no doubt that the history of CPDM in our constituency will never be the same again because he has joined us and we are confident in what he can do."
Shusi Peter's decamping to the ruling party, a party he stood up against for many years as a member of the SDF political party is considered a big win for CPDM, and a blow to the SDF that just elected a new chairman in the person of Joshua Osih.
