Question And Answer Session With Media

He sited a container loaded with medical equipment worth 400 million FCFA which is on its way to the people of his municipality, and a Tractor from Toronto.
On why many roads in Bamenda II are still in a bad shape, and crying for mercy at a time when the council boosts of an equipment pool, Mayor Peter Chenwi said
"Those areas where we wanted to do road maintenance works are not safe. We couldn't send equipment there because of insecurity, reason why we worked with quarter heads in order to drive the road maintenance works ahead."
Another area of interest for the Media men, and women was the work that the Bamenda II Council carried out in the compound of CRTV Bamenda, given that it's found in Bamenda I Council which also has a Mayor.
The question was why such was not done for a radio station in Bamenda II, the Mayor's own municipality given that many radio stations there are barely struggling to survive? Read him:
" CRTV is for the entire North West Region, it's owned by the state, and all the mayors in this region are supposed to support CRTV. The Station Manager appealed for support, most of the mayors ran away for reasons I don't know. Because of what CRTV has done for me, I couldn't help but support."
It's now left on the population to say how these projects have actually impacted their lives, and whether what was given to them is what they really need.
Created in 2007, the Bamenda II Council was under the management of the Social Democratic Front SDF political party.
Power changed hands in 2020 when the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement CPDM kicked out the SDF.
