Healthy Information Technology Awareness (HITA) is a Bamenda-based non-profit organization that has been using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to impact communities through free vocational trainings and by providing start-up kits to community members.

Just as it is often said that a city built on a hill cannot be hidden, HITA's work on the ground under the stewardship of King Suh could not go unnoticed, which is why the Lifetime Media Group was able to single out the organization, and honor it with the Most Impactful NGO of the Year Award for 2023, organizers said.

This award was presented during the Life Time Achievement Award for Nation Builders for 2023/2024, which took place at a renowned hotel in Bamenda on Saturday, June 8, 2024, in the presence of other laureates and a large crowd.

Addressing the press after receiving the award, Suh expressed words of gratitude to the Life Time Media Group for the recognition.

"This award is like a trigger to enable us do more than what we have been doing for the sake of our community. The team has been very amazing, and our aim is to continue impacting our people in a positive way," he said.

Suh also mentioned that all the funds they have been using to achieve their goals have been contributed by the members themselves.

HITA has also made available free water supply around New Road Bamenda, provide accommodation for Internally Displaced Persons,(IDPs),just to name but these.

Created in 2013, HITA has been providing practical solutions to problems like unemployment and poverty.

The organization has trained, and is still training, young and vulnerable persons in fashion designing, vertical agriculture,( farming on vertical surfaces rather than traditional, horizontal agriculture. By using vertically stacked layers, farmers can produce much more food on the same amount of land or even less), hair dressing, barbing, and other areas, after which funds and other start-up kits are made available to help them start their own businesses.
