Canada: Mayor Chenwi Peter,Emmanuel Ntoko Strengthen Cooperation To Promote Peace,Unity Among Cameroonians

In one of his outings in Canada, Mayor Chenwi Peter Of Bamenda II met with business magnet, Emmanuel Ntoko in Aurora Ontario in Canada. During their intercourse, the two development stakeholders handled topical issues including how to better forter development back home, promote peace, and unity among Cameroonians in Canada, and also to encourage Cameroonian to massively take part in upcoming elections in Cameroon.


Mayor Chenwi Tabling The Development Needs Of His Municipality 


Speaking to drayinfos all the way from Canada, Mayor Chenwi Peter said Ntoko invited him to encourage others in Cameroon to contact him for collaboration. He said there are many Cameroonians in Canada whom if given the opportunity, they would in less than no time transform their municipalities to Eldorados in Africa.



This latest move by Mayor Chenwi Peter is coming weeks after he signed a cooperation agreement with the City Council of Brampton, Ontario, Canada. The signing ceremony whose aim is to forster sustainable development in the Bamenda II Municipality took place on Thursday, August 22, 2024.

Road Accident Leaves Two Persons Dead Along Bamenda-Bambili Stretch

Chattered Vehicles As A Result Of Accident  By Raymond Dingana Township taxi drivers in Bamenda are still in shock following the death of one of theirs who died alongside his passenger at the Mile 6 neighborhood in Nkwen, on the Bamenda-Bambili road, Friday March 15, 2024. The accident that didn't only take away lives but caused enormous damages on the two vehicles involved has been attributed to over speeding. "The black private car was on top speed when it suddenly found itself on the other said of the road colliding with the taxi. The occupants of the private owned vehicle fled the scene after the accident. The vehicle was coming from the Mile 6 direction while the taxi was heading towards Bamenda, " explained a witness. The passenger whose only name drayinfos got as Tigwe died on the spot, while the driver of the Starlet vehicle died later at the Regional Hospital in Bamenda. As Gunmen Hit Taxi Sector, Drivers Blame Mezam SDO's Overnight Ban On Motorbikes For Attacks

Taxi On Fire In Ntarinkon Bamenda  By Raymond Dingana Over the past few days, gunmen suspected to be separatist fighters have been targeting taxi drivers in Mezam Division, in Cameroon's North West Region. Taxi drivers say these incidents have been recurring since Mezam Senior Divisional Officer (SDO), Simon Emile Mooh signed a Prefectoral Order banning the circulation of motorbikes from 6:30 pm to 6:30 am until further notice. The drivers believe the SDO's decision to restrict motorbikes has triggered these latest attacks on them, as rumors have been circulating that armed men have also imposed a ban on their own activities during the same hours. On Tuesday, June 4th, 2024, eyewitnesses said gunmen dressed in civilian attire attacked Akondi, a taxi driver in the Ntarinkon neighborhood of Bamenda II Council area.
